Hi, I’m Brandon — husband, dad, IT application developer, woodworker, and a wannabe painter who loves learning new things.

Family Palette began with something simple: our whole family sitting down to paint together.

My wife introduced watercolor painting into our routine, and the kids and I quickly joined in. Those moments around the kitchen table became our built-in creative break — a chance to unwind, recharge, and make something just for the fun of it.

But the more I painted, the more I wanted to take that creativity with me.

I found myself looking at what other artists were using and wondering, “Why isn’t there an easy, portable way to paint while camping… or in the car… or anywhere I happen to be?” I wanted something small, durable, and simple enough to toss in a bag and take on the road — a setup that let me paint outside just as easily as I could at home.

So I decided to build it myself.

That curiosity — mixed with my love for woodworking and technology — is what sparked Family Palette’s first handmade portable palettes… and everything that followed.
